Lost Lake Kayaking
Lost lake off of Lolo pass road is our favorite place to kayak. You can get there from either the Gorge (Hood River area) or highway 26. I think it's faster from the Gorge side and Lolo pass road is closed in the winter months. We've been there many times and it seems like it always great weather. It can be busy so get there early unless you want to sit on the road waiting for people to leave. There is very limited parking so they only let people in when someone leaves after they all fill up. It's a big lake so once you get to the dock and launch, you can avoid people if that's what you want.
